About Calmscious Mental Health Blog Understanding the Mind. Empowering Lives.

Welcome to the Calmscious Mental Health Blog — a platform dedicated to making psychology and mental health easy to understand, practical, and accessible, in both Tamil and English.

Our mission is simple: awareness before treatment. Understanding your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours is the first step toward lasting emotional well-being — and most people go through stress, anxiety, overthinking, and emotional pain without ever having the language for what they're experiencing. We write to close that gap.

Our Approach

Mental health isn't just about treating problems — it's about understanding root causes, building healthier thinking patterns, and creating lasting behavioural change. Our content is built to increase awareness, reduce stigma around seeking help, and guide readers toward professional support when they need it.

Meet Our Founder

Dr. Mehar Nithyan is the Founder and Clinical Director of Calmscious. With over two decades of experience in psychology and psychotherapy, Dr. Mehar created Calmscious Therapy — the practice's own therapeutic model — and built this blog to bridge the gap between psychology and everyday life.

Our Commitment

Our articles are evidence-informed, easy to understand, and regularly reviewed — written for education and awareness, not as a substitute for individualized assessment, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified mental health professional.

Whether you're trying to understand your own emotions or support someone else through theirs, we hope this blog becomes a trusted companion on that journey.
